Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant

The Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant is a program that provides free training to churches and members for the service of God and His glory in the areas of small business registration, small business management, non-profit registration, non-profit management, small business taxes, non-profit taxes, and church administration.

This grant is open to registered churches - ministries committed to improving the skills of their members and pastors in these areas. The program is designed to help churches become more effective in managing their business and non-profit activities, while also enhancing their overall capacity to serve their communities. The grant application process is straightforward and transparent, and successful applicants will receive funding to cover the cost of training, up to a maximum amount determined by the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation.

Grant Application Process

1. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant, the church must be a registered entity, and it must be committed to improving the skills of its members and pastors in the areas of small business registration, small business management, non-profit registration, non-profit management, small business taxes, non-profit taxes, and church administration.

2. Application Requirements

To apply for the grant, the church must submit a comprehensive application that includes:

  •  A cover letter addressed to the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation, explaining the church's mission and goals and how the training will benefit its members and pastors.
  •  A completed application form that includes details about the church's registration status and the number of members and pastors who will participate in the training.
  •  A detailed training request proposal that outlines the specific areas of training required, the proposed training schedule, and the expected outcomes of the training.
  •  A copy of the church's registration certificate and other relevant documents.

3. Submission Deadline

The Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant is open on an ongoing basis, and there are no fixed submission deadlines. However, applicants are advised to submit their applications at least three months before the proposed training start date to allow ample time for review and processing.

4. Review Process

All applications will be reviewed by a committee within The Lilly Mbinglo Foundation which will evaluate the proposals based on their quality, feasibility, relevance to the training objectives, and potential impact on the church and its members. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or site visit to assess the suitability of the proposed training plan.

5. Notification and Award

Successful applicants will be notified of the grant award via email or phone. The grant award will cover the cost of the training, including trainer fees, training materials, and venue rental fees (if the venue will be outside the church premises), up to a maximum amount determined by the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation.

6. Reporting and Evaluation

Recipients of the grant will be required to submit a report on the training outcomes, including the number of participants, the training topics covered, and the impact on the church and its members. The report should also include an evaluation of the effectiveness of the training and recommendations for future improvements.

By following these guidelines, churches can apply for the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant to improve the skills of their members and pastors in various areas of business management and administration, non-profit management, and church administration.

Collaborative Initiative Among City/State Churches

Churches and ministries in a city or state have the opportunity to form partnerships and leverage the benefits offered by The Lilly Mbinglo Foundation Church Training Grant. This collaboration is particularly encouraged for churches with a limited number of participants to independently host the training program. The application form will specify the minimum number of participants required for independent hosting. In cases where a church does not meet the minimum requirement, they can seek out other churches to jointly host the training team.
